Alms for jihad?

How about alms for free speech!

New York Legislature Passes Libel Terrorism Protection Act!

Free speech trumps thuggery! Leftists rejoice! 24-7 MSM coverage! Hollyweird makes patriotic movie!!

Oh wait. No? Just crickets chirping?
Saudi billionaire Khalid Salim Bin Mahfouz, who successfully sued Cambridge University Press last July, has failed in his efforts to silence Rachel Ehrenfeld.

You remember Rachel Ehrenfeld. She wrote a book called 'Alms for Jihad', a critical expose' of radical wahhabi Saudi citizens who use their wealth to finance global terrorism. Ms. Ehrenfeld, along with three other authors critical of Saudi funded terrorism, plus their publisher, Cambridge University Press, were successfully sued in the U.K. back in 2007. The published books were pulled worldwide - even in the U.S. of A. The gut wrencher came in Dec. 2007, when the N.Y. state supreme court upheld the U.K. ruling in favor of the Sheik! Hence, libel terrorism. (flippin' parasites lawyers!)

Which ledes us to this monumental piece of legislation in N.Y. state, The Libel Terrorism Protection Act, that says the U.S. of A. is a soveriegn nation; with its own laws; not bound by international courts; and that the U.S. constitution, in general, and the First amendment, in particular, actually mean what they say!! Or, more specifically:
Legislature Passes Libel Terrorism Protection Act To Protect American Journalists and Authors From Overseas Defamation Lawsuits. When signed into law by Governor David Paterson, this legislation will protect American journalists and authors from foreign lawsuits that infringe on their First Amendment rights.

The Libel Terrorism Protection Act declares overseas defamation judgments unenforceable in New York unless the foreign defamation law provides, in substance and application, the same free speech protections guaranteed under our own constitution, and it gives New York residents and publishers the opportunity to have their day in court here in New York.

This monumental, common sense piece of legislation could not come at a better time considering our radical wahhabi friends, the saudis, have been rebuked by the Bush administration as the world's number one funding source of terrorism.

Can I get an 'Amen'?

A big TY to HA
